First UNESCO Global Report on the Monitoring of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. The launch of the first UNESCO Global Report on the Implementation of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions will take place in the presence of the Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova. The Global Report series presents evidence on the implementation of the 2005 Convention and its goals, with a proposed set of indicators to monitor change and progress over time. Based on the quadrennial periodic reports submittes so far by Parties, as well as other sources, this maiden edition explores the successes and challenges encountered.
